Start Up IDEA-1 (Net Metering Strategy & BESS)

💡I have developed a wide range of solutions, but I would like to highlight this as the first one. In 2015, my concept for fuel savings was featured in the Dinamalar newspaper. After seeing that, a sago factory owner in Salem contacted me regarding their captive biogas power plant. When power production was halted, the generated biogas was simply flared into the atmosphere to relieve pressure. At the time, they requested a small-scale Bio-CNG setup, but after visiting the site, I determined it wasn't feasible with the technology available then. After Analysis reveals that this is a widespread challenge across the sago industry. Today, I developed two viable solutions to address this waste." The Proposed Solutions( Start Up Idea ) 1. Net Metering Strategy: Direct any surplus biogas to the engine to generate electricity for the grid. Much like solar net metering, this allows the facility to export power when production is high and draw from the grid when biogas generation is low. This approach requires specific regulatory and government support to implement. 2. BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) Integration: Instead of flaring gas or relying solely on the grid, surplus power generated during off-peak times is stored in a BESS. This stored energy can then be discharged during peak demand or when the primary biogas generator is inactive, ensuring 100% energy utilization.
